Dear Sir/Madam,

We would like to thank you for your continued support to the General Incorporated Association Quality of Life Foundation Support Council of International Activities for General Medical Research.

Our activities as a non-profit organisation have been supporting international medical exchanges since 2007, when we started a charity event for breast cancer awareness and prevention.

Through our network of embassies in Japan and with the understanding of our cooperating hospitals in Japan, we have contributed to the international exchange of medical personnel in line with the requirements of each country.

Doctors from Lithuania, Poland, Armenia, Croatia, Greece, Peru, Argentina, Colombia, Uruguay, Angola, Botswana, Zambia, and Jamaica have been nominated through their respective embassies to participate in international medical exchanges at our cooperation hospitals, such as the University of Tokyo Hospital, Cancer Institute Hospital of JFCR, St. Luke’s International Hospital. The doctors received training at the University of Tokyo Hospital, Cancer Institute Hospital, St. Luke’s International Hospital and St. Luke’s International Hospital.

Last year, in response to a request from the Republic of Zambia for infectious disease countermeasures, the National Centre for Infectious Diseases and Hokkaido University International Institute for Zoonosis Control, both of which have experience in this field, a Zambia doctor was invited to participate in the programme. A specialist from Serbia will be invited to Japan in November this year.

After returning home, the participating doctors reported that they were able to give back the results of their training to their patients and received letters of appreciation from the ambassadors of their countries and the directors of the hospitals to which they belonged.

Furthermore, the cooperation hospitals dispatched specialist doctors to Peru, Argentina, Colombia, El Salvador, Mexico, Greece and Cuba, where they introduced Japanese medical technology and participated in local academic conferences.

Our activities are funded by your warm support, and the proceeds from the 2024 Charity Gala will be used as the ‘Quality of Life Fund’ to invite a doctor from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

The organisation will do its utmost to support this exchange programme so that it will contribute to international medical technology and medical education. We would therefore like to ask for your support and sponsorship of this event.
