On 13th August 2026, President Hiroko Suzuki, accompanied by Ms Noriko Toyoda, Support Member of QoLF, visited the Embassy of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic in Tokyo for consultations with His Excellency the Ambassador, his consort, and the First Secretary.

The meeting fostered a highly constructive dialogue regarding the bilateral framework and future implementation of our medical exchange initiative between Japan and Laos. Reaffirming His Excellency’s strong endorsement and shared vision, both parties agreed to work in close coordination as we advance the careful preparations required for a sustainable, long-term healthcare partnership.

On 30th June 2026, President Hiroko Suzuki, accompanied by Mr Suzuki, Auditor of the Foundation, and Ms Anraku, Honorary Director, attended the 80th Anniversary of Independence Reception of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan held at Meiji Kinenkan, following a gracious invitation from His Excellency Mr Nasser Shraideh, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and his consort, Mrs Rasha Abendeh.

The reception offered a meaningful occasion to reaffirm the enduring ties of friendship between Japan and Jordan. During the event, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr Yohei Onishi, representing the Government of Japan, remarked that “Jordan plays a crucial role in maintaining stability in the Middle East, and its commitment to dialogue and coordination is highly commended by the international community.” His words echoed the deep respect felt throughout the venue for Jordan’s steadfast dedication to regional peace. Inspired by these strong bilateral bonds, QoLF remains committed to furthering its contributions through international medical exchanges.

On 31st May 2026, Ms Hiroko Suzuki, President of QOLF, hosted a working dinner welcoming His Excellency the Ambassador of the Portuguese Republic and QOLF Medical Advisor, Professor Hasegawa. During the evening, Professor Hasegawa briefed His Excellency on the selection of medical specialities and the upcoming schedule for the Portuguese doctors to be invited to Japan next fiscal year. The dinner also served as an occasion to dine with the valued patrons who supported the recently held Academic Symposium & Charity Gala Reception, all of whom kindly pledged their continued collaboration for the year ahead. Guests were also treated to a spectacular live dessert performance (pictured centre and right), generously presented by the chef of Patisserie Etienne, who had also kindly sponsored the bespoke gift boxes for the gala attendees.

On 31st May 2026, Ms Hiroko Suzuki, President of QOLF, hosted a social reception to welcome Their Excellencies the newly appointed Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and his consort, bringing together distinguished supporters of the Foundation. Jordan notably served as the partner nation for the QOLF medical fellowship programme during the 2025 fiscal year.

During the gathering, His Excellency expressed his profound gratitude to Ms Suzuki for the successful invitation of Jordanian doctors to Japan under the auspices of the QOLF Fund last year, and graciously pledged his ongoing endorsement of the Foundation’s international medical exchange initiatives.

On 28th February 2026, Ms Hiroko Suzuki, President of QOLF, hosted a working dinner at her private residence, welcoming His Excellency Mr Gilberto Jerónimo, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Portuguese Republic, and Dr Yoshihiro Kitamura, Chairman of the Japan Society for Dying with Dignity, Public Interest Incorporated Foundation.
The dinner was held to discuss support for the fund dedicated to inviting Portuguese doctors to Japan, a key initiative of the QOLF 20th Anniversary Academic Symposium & Charity Gala Reception. During the evening, His Excellency expressed his profound gratitude to Dr Kitamura and to QOLF for organizing this meaningful philanthropic endeavour.

On 17th April 2026, the Academic Symposium & Charity Gala Reception celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Quality of Life Foundation was held with great success at Happo-en. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the numerous Ambassadors, diplomatic envoys, and distinguished guests from the medical and business communities who graced the occasion with their presence.

On 14 April, 2026, Ms Hiroko Suzuki, President of QOLF, paid a courtesy call to Her Excellency Ms Monika Simonyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Japan.
During the meeting, Ms Suzuki outlined the upcoming Academic Exchange Symposium & Charity Gala Reception, organised by QOLF and held at Happo-en on 17th April, to seek the Embassy’s support and cooperation. Her Excellency expressed her warm endorsement and graciously pledged her kind cooperation for the event.

On 13th April 2026, Ms Hiroko Suzuki, President of QOLF, accompanied by Their Excellencies the Ambassadors of the Portuguese Republic and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, paid a courtesy call to Dr Takeshi Sano, Director Emeritus, and Dr Masayuki Watanabe, the newly appointed Director of The Cancer Institute Hospital of JFCR. The meeting provided a wonderful opportunity for a highly productive dialogue on the hospital’s cutting-edge oncological treatments and future medical training and fellowship programmes.
Following the discussion, the delegation was given a guided tour of the hospital’s advanced premium inpatient facilities, further deepening their understanding of Japan’s high-calibre medical environment.

On 10th April 2026, Ms Hiroko Suzuki, President of QOLF, paid a courtesy call to Dr Haruki Kume, Deputy Director of the University of Tokyo Hospital, accompanied by Their Excellencies the Ambassadors of the Portuguese Republic and the Lao People’s Democratic Republic. Both Embassies are currently planning to invite medical practitioners to Japan under the auspices of the QOLF Fund from the 2027 fiscal year onwards.
During the meeting, the participants engaged in a highly fruitful exchange of views regarding future medical exchange programmes and further collaboration between Japan and both nations in the field of medicine.

On 24th March 2026, Ms Hiroko Suzuki, President of QOLF, attended the Greek National Day Reception at Izumi Garden Tower, following a kind invitation from the Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic to Japan.
The reception offered an excellent occasion to present compliments to His Excellency, exchange greetings with members of the diplomatic corps, and strengthen international ties for future global medical exchanges.
