About Power of Elegance 2022
Dear Sir/Madam,
We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude for your continuous support for the Quality of Life Foundation’s international activities.
Since 2007, we have supported international medical exchanges by organising charity events to raise awareness and prevent breast cancer. In 2015 we began inviting doctors recommended by embassies and sending Japanese medical specialists overseas. Our charity proceeds are used as the “Quality of Life Fund” for this purpose.
Doctors from the Republic of Lithuania, Republic of Poland, Republic of Armenia, Republic of Croatia, Republic of Argentina, Republic of Peru, Oriental Republic of Uruguay, Republic of Colombia, Republic of Angola and Republic of Botswana have been invited to the event. They received their training at the University of Tokyo Hospital, Cancer Institute Hospital of Japanese Foundation for Cancer Research and St. Luke’s International Hospital, which are the collaborating hospitals for the training of the Foundation.
The ambassadors and hospital directors reported with letters of appreciation that the doctors were able to apply Japanese medical technology to their patients after returning to their home countries. In the Oriental Republic of Uruguay, we were honoured to receive a video acknowledgement from former President Mujica.
Since FY2017, we have dispatched medical specialists from the same institutions to the Republic of Peru, the Republic of Argentina, the Republic of Colombia, the Republic of El Salvador, and the Republic of Greece to transfer Japan’s advanced medical technology to the doctors at the destination hospitals and participate in local academic conferences.
In 2021, as it was our 15th anniversary, we planned to hold our first charity gala since 2019. However, the circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic have forced us to postpone the event to this year. To brighten up the air, which feels heavy due to the global spread of infectious diseases, we are organising a charity gala in which their Excellencies the Ambassadors and their spouses will take part as runway models, in cooperation with the embassies of 10 countries. The gala proceeds will be used to fund the training of doctors from the Republic of Greece and the dispatch of Japanese doctors to the United Mexican States.
We will do our utmost to ensure that this international academic exchange will provide better medical care to many patients around the world. We hope that you will join us in supporting the purpose of the conference and we would be very grateful if you could help us.
Yours faithfully,
Hiroko Suzuki
